At Readers Cult, each order is prepared with care. As an independent publisher, some products may be produced, packed, or fulfilled through third-party partners, which means delivery times can vary depending on product type, destination, production volume, and carrier conditions.

1. Order Processing
Orders are typically processed after payment has been successfully received.
Processing times may vary depending on:

Estimated processing and delivery windows shown on the website are indicative only and are not guaranteed delivery dates.
2. Shipping Times
Shipping times depend on the shipping destination, carrier performance, customs processing, and the fulfillment method used for the product ordered.
Delivery estimates are provided in good faith, but delays may occur for reasons beyond our control, including:

Readers Cult is not liable for delivery delays caused by third-party carriers, customs authorities, force majeure events, or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.
3. Pre-Orders
Some products may be offered on a pre-order basis. This means the product is purchased before it is available for shipment.
When you place a pre-order:

production, printing, logistics, or supplier delays may affect the dispatch date

We will make reasonable efforts to keep customers informed of significant pre-order delays. However, pre-order timelines are subject to change without liability for indirect loss, disappointment, missed expectations, or consequential damages arising from delayed release or shipment.
If your order includes both pre-order and in-stock items, we may ship them together once the pre-order item is available, unless otherwise stated on the product page.
4. Shipping Address and Delivery Responsibility
Customers are responsible for ensuring that the shipping address entered at checkout is accurate and complete.
Readers Cult is not responsible for:

failed delivery due to incorrect address details

returned parcels caused by customer error
-
delays resulting from incomplete delivery information
-
packages delivered to the address provided by the customer but not retrieved by the recipient
If an order is returned to us due to an incorrect address, non-collection, or refusal of delivery, we may charge additional shipping costs before reshipping.
5. Customs, Import Duties, and Local Taxes
For international orders, customs duties, import taxes, VAT adjustments, handling charges, or other local fees may apply depending on the destination country.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, these charges are the responsibility of the customer. Readers Cult is not responsible for delays, refusals, or additional costs arising from customs clearance or import procedures.
6. Risk of Loss and Delivery
Risk of loss or damage passes to the customer upon delivery to the shipping address provided at checkout, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
If a parcel is marked as delivered by the carrier but cannot be located, the customer must first check with household members, neighbors, building reception, and the carrier. If needed, contact us and we will make reasonable efforts to assist, but we cannot guarantee replacement or refund for packages confirmed as delivered by the carrier, except where required by applicable law.
7. Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items
If you receive a damaged, defective, or incorrect item, please contact us within 7 days of delivery at [your contact email] and include:

If the issue is confirmed, we may offer an appropriate remedy such as replacement, refund, store credit, or other solution at our discretion and in accordance with applicable consumer law.
We reserve the right to request evidence before approving any claim.
8. Returns
Because many of our products may be printed or fulfilled to order, returns are accepted only in the circumstances allowed by applicable law or where the item arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect.
We do not accept returns for:

minor variations in color, print alignment, or finish that do not materially affect the product

delays caused by carriers, customs, or production partners outside our reasonable control
If a return is approved, the item must be unused and returned in its original condition where applicable.
9. Right of Withdrawal
If you are a consumer located in the European Union, you may have a statutory right to withdraw from certain purchases within 14 days, unless an exception applies under applicable law.
Please note that this right may not apply to certain goods, including goods made to the customer’s specifications or clearly personalized items. If your order falls within a category excluded from the right of withdrawal, this will apply to the extent permitted by law.

10. Non-Returnable Items
The following items are generally non-returnable unless damaged, defective, or incorrect:

11. Refunds
If a refund is approved, it will be issued to the original payment method where possible.

Original shipping fees are non-refundable unless required by law or unless the refund is due to our error.
We reserve the right to refuse refunds where the claim is unsupported, abusive, fraudulent, or inconsistent with this policy.
12. Partial Shipments and Order Splitting
We reserve the right to split orders into multiple shipments where necessary for operational, stock, or fulfillment reasons. This may happen, for example, when an order contains pre-order items and currently available items, or when products are fulfilled by different partners.
13. Force Majeure
Readers Cult is not liable for failure or delay in performance caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, war, strikes, carrier disruption, customs delays, governmental action, power failure, cyber incidents, pandemics, supplier failure, or printing and logistics interruptions.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Readers Cult shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of shipping delays, delivery failures by third-party carriers, pre-order timing changes, customs issues, or events beyond our reasonable control.
Our total liability in relation to any order shall not exceed the amount paid by the customer for the affected product, except where a greater remedy is required by applicable law.
